Spring Break, More Water, Less Diet Coke

I realize that title doesn't make any sense.

I'm just too excited to finally be on spring break to think clearly! It's time. Things have been crazy lately.

Because of said craziness, I have been giving myself a pass on my ridiculous Diet Coke consumption. It kind of gotten out of hand though. I may, or may not, have realized with horror one evening this week that I had consumed 5 cans over the course of that day.

Besides the fact that that is just kind of sad, it also is limiting the amount of water I drink. Which is probably the culprit of the monster headache from last weekend.

So...since I've got a work break this week and I'm only two(!) assignments away from finishing my masters program, it's a good time to step away from the Diet Coke.

I'm pretty sure I'm not going cold turkey, so don't expect any miracle turnaround, but my recycling load will be much smaller this week!

  1. My sister stopped drinking diet coke about a month ago she was a serious fanatic. She now drinks Diet Hansen's cola. Guess it tastes just like it but much much better for you. Check it out. : )

  2. I am not going cold-turkey but I am decreasing! My greatest cravings happen mid-morning (replacing it with juice) and mid-afternoon (iced tea). I want to give it up as I am guessing diet soda isn't good for pregnant ladies. I'm not preggo yet but maybe in the next 6 months.

  4. Small steps! I gave up soda last Christmas & definitely had headaches the first week or so. Now I don't even miss it. I have somewhat replaced my 1x/day soda with Vitamin Water Zero, but maybe I can pretend that's a little healthier? ;-)
