It's a Simple Equation.

Giving blood + developing a cold later that day + reduced sleep due to cold + cold medicine = Passing out and throwing up in yoga class the next day.

Yes, at my very first yoga class at the one and only studio in the county.

They were really nice about it though. I think the repeated phrase was, "Listen to your body next time."

Lesson learned.

  2. How scary! I gave blood once and then decided to run on the treadmill that night. I was able to stop the machine and step of before I passed out. I also passed out in spin class once due to dehydration..due to drinking too much V8. The sodium in that stuff is insane. Hope you're brave enough to go back to yoga!

  3. Scary!!!

That happened to me on a treadmill once. Um, terrifying to feel yourself passing out as you go flying off the machine, haha.

    Hope you are feeling better!

  4. Oh honey I hope you're doing better. Rest, fluids, and more rest is key. I've passed out at crossfit and while it is embarrassing everyone else is always just concerned. Give it another try when you feel up to it!

  6. I'm glad I'm not alone, but ladies, y'all need to take it easy! Y'all must be working out pretty hard to faint when you have ALL your blood. And no, Ken, I managed not to vomit on other yogis, lol. I was stumbling towards the bathroom and kind of slid down the door.

  8. Oh my and thanks for the learning lesson. Years ago I donated blood and went to the gym hours later to run. Thank goodness nothing happened to me but I will think twice next time....that is, if I ever overcome this adversion to needles I developed in my pregnancy.
